For those of you who are wondering, modern milk chocolate is not kid's stuff: it is just the same single origin dark bars we sell with a bit of powdered milk added. Creamy, lush, decadent and full of the pure taste of real chocolate. Expect to see between 40% and 65% cocoa mass and very little in the way of added flavour.
Our first chocolate tasting of 2017 will feature bars made from cacao grown in Chuao, Venezuela.
After what seemed like eons of waiting, our shipment from Stephan Bonnat has arrived! Some very rare and unusual bars which we have never carried before. This weekend we will be sharing some of the rarities from Bonnat's collection. These include the Maragnan single-estate Brazil bar, the Chuao Village reserve (compare it to the Chuao bar, as it's now back in stock), the Madagascar 100% Criollo bar, the Cuba bar, and the rare "Chocolat Noir sans sucre ajoute" which is made with Maltitol rather than cane sugar.

The seeds of most fresh cacao pods are a pinky-purple in colour but there are a few trees which have seeds which are mostly, or entirely white. At this class we will be tasting chocolate made from these “white-seeds”. Continue reading for more details.
